Detroit is shrinking and turning into a s— hole. But the politicians want to spend $500,000,000 on a light rail system that is not needed. The city already has a train system that no one uses. There’s no traffic because the city is dying not growing. Detroit needs better schools, police, and lower taxes, not a train to no where.

March 21, 2011 - 4:05 pmI support a light rail system. I would much rather take a light rail train in Detroit to say, catch a Tigers game, or whatever, than to deal with traffic and pay for parking. Plus, a rail system would help eliminate pollution and auto traffic. Metro Detroit is the 11’Th largest metro area in the country with 5 million people. Smaller metro areas, like Minneapolis/St. Paul, do have a metro link and its working fine there, so why not Detroit?
