Uhm..the guy who is “owning” isn’t doing that great of a job. in fact, his responses are about as sad as the guy who is flustered by it because someone is arguing his faith. at least he has a reason to be limited, this guy is starting something with no real argument. what exactly does factual evidence mean? its something that is fact, and therefore proven, physically…which is what scientific evidence is…so he’s listing all this bullshit against this guy when its all the same thing… hmm…dumbass. people are so easily entertained 😮
Staged Conversation is staged. Wow, it is pathetic when you create a facebook account to make a strawman argument to make yourself look good. And still don’t do that good a job at it. No wonder you don’t have any friends Ryo.
Ah, but there is factual, physical, and scientific evidence that you can find by going outside on a windy day (ie, none of the evidence from a book) to back up its existence.
I’m by far not a Christian, the closest thing you could equate me with is somewhere between deist and agnostic. Though the conversation may have actually occurred, the image has been modified in a very poor design application – definitely not PhotoShop. A two year old can render a tolerable image in that. Either way, it’s funny, and quite accurate. To the person who indicated that Genesis talks about unicorns – you must be literally retarded. For real, not for play play. They are however, *alluded to* in Job, Psalms, Numbers, and Deuteronomy.
why would you say stupid atheists? im not atheist, but i’m also not denying that believing in god is just like believing in Harry Potter. what’s the difference? that you actually know the person who wrote the harry potter books? and it doesn’t matter if its fake or not, you all know it could have happened and that its true, some of you are just trying to deny it. and also, there’s something i’ve been wondering lately. if God created earth, who created God?
HAHAHA!
Well, I have to say.. Jesus freaks are hilarious.
I remember someone telling me that they believed in god because of this reason:
“He has to exist, I mean, come on! The book has been published in like so many languages!”
Twilight has too, are you walking around the forest looking for em?
I would believe in unicorns way before I’d believe in god.
This isn’t funny. Aside from the fact that whole time I was reading this, the only thing I could think about was how much better BOTH sides could have been argued (the Christian taking the Christ’s name in vain, referring to the Bible as a children’s book, the entire premise of the atheist’s argument) and the fact that whoever uploaded it thought they were clever enough that their cleverness needed to be shared with the world, I can’t help but find this whole thread is very disheartening. I am not a religious person at all, but I cannot stand the belief that the majority of atheists seem to hold regarding their “inherent intellectual superiority” to people who follow religion. In my view, this is identical to the viewpoint expressed in the original post in the image above. “Why don’t people believe in God?” (Would you like serious answers? Because I could give you a dozen) Atheists who cannot understand why anyone would fail to subscribe to their OBVIOUS ideology that we are a random compilation of chemicals END OF STORY make as little sense as Christians who cannot understand those who ignore the OBVIOUS existence of a deity. Either way, I can’t understand how someone can genuinely think that they are infallible and that anyone who disagrees is inferior. Why is it so hard to agree to disagree and admit that you may not be the all-knowing, all-seeing, epitome of correctness?
Atheists – Shut up. Just because you don’t believe in something doesn’t mean you can bash others for believing in it. Grow up and accept the differences of others.
Religious folk – Shut up. Just because atheists don’t believe in your religion doesn’t mean you can go on a holy rant about it, condemning them to an eternity of fire and brimstone if they don’t accept your ways. Grow up and accept the differences of others.
Stephen Jay Gould proposed an approach dividing the world of philosophy into what he called “non-overlapping magisteria” (NOMA). In this view, questions of the supernatural, such as those relating to the existence and nature of God, are non-empirical and are the proper domain of theology. The methods of science should then be used to answer any empirical question about the natural world, and theology should be used to answer questions about ultimate meaning and moral value. In this view, the perceived lack of any empirical footprint from the magisterium of the supernatural onto natural events makes science the sole player in the natural world.
Another view, advanced by Richard Dawkins, is that the existence of God is an empirical question, on the grounds that “a universe with a god would be a completely different kind of universe from one without, and it would be a scientific difference.” Carl Sagan argued that the doctrine of a Creator of the Universe was difficult to prove or disprove and that the only conceivable scientific discovery that could challenge it would be an infinitely old universe.
This makes me really sad.
Not only are there many, many things wrong with that entire conversation (real or not) but the things that some of the comments are saying are just ignorant.
To imply that there is a correlation between high intelligence and a disbelief in deities is equally as ridiculous as the entire “debate” that began this whole conversation to begin with. Although you are entitled to your opinion, you are no better than a Christian who puts down someone who does not share their beliefs.
To say “Jesus freaks are hilarious” and go on about people who believe in something with no reason, is just rude. Way to apply your stereotypes to an entire group of people. Might as well say that all Americans eat McDonalds or all Aboriginals drink beer. Since when does a discussion with one person give you the right to typecast thousands+ of people?
I think that everyone is a little bit biased in this entire debate and frankly, I found the post entertaining, as well as the comments. You all have brains in your heads and I think it is great that you are stating your opinion. But that is just what it is: Your opinion. How many of you actually have facts to back up what you believe (whether it is in a diety or evolution or worshiping aluminum foil) or are you all just going on what other people have told you (Quotes you’ve heard on the radio?) or what you were taught in grade school?
I know what I believe, and I know WHY I believe it, I’m not going to ram it down your throat but I’m sure not going to keep quiet about what’s in my heart just because you don’t agree.
Some of you are missing the point entirely. Whether or not this is a real conversation, nowhere in this conversation does Ryo say that he does or does not believe in god, only showing why some people don’t believe in him. Most of you who are unhappy with this are reading what you want into this, not what is actualy written.
If this is a real argument, the they guy who believes in god was powned, but that does not prove god doesn’t exist at all. If it’s not real, it’s just funny. Try not to read into it something that is not there.
To all the retards who think this is fake. After working in photoshop for 7 years, I can tell you, it’s not fake.
Seriously if you’re going to say something is fake at least get a bit of expertise in it. You can tell by the pixels? LMAO. You are the kind of guy who had used PS with a filter and think you are a fucking expert. Idiots.
“You can tell by the pixels?” Phil, when he says you can tell by the pixels, he obviously meant the picture being blurred out around the other guys name. Look up the word “Trolling”
Setting up fake conversations on facebook to post them on the internet is pathetic. Please don’t do this again the next time you want to make fun of something…try to be clever enough to make fun of it on your own.
lol this would be funny except there IS factual, physical, and scientific evidence all over our planet that atheists don’t bother to even try to find. at least research both sides of an argument before you bash a religion.
