If Super Mario Bros. was created before the television age, this is what it might look like. The ‘video game in a box’ features Mario controlled by a knob on the side. A physical scrolling paper with ‘enemies’ rolls around, and the player must use the knob to make Mario ‘jump’ to avoid the obstacles and Goombas. A simple tune replays over and over, and with everything together, you literally have a video game in a box.
