Any proper chef knows that presentation is a huge part of creating any delicious dish, because people truly eat with all their senses, including their eyes. But for someone who is visually impaired, a small part of the enjoyable experience is missing.

South African fast food chain Wimpy wanted their blind patrons to enjoy their burgers as much as possible, so they created Braille Burgers. The chefs literally write in braille with sesame seeds on the bun of the hamburger, so visually disabled customers could ‘read’ what kind of burger they were about to enjoy. It’s a small gesture that really elevates the eating experience, and has helped Wimpy go viral .
