Like so many animals in the wild, koala bears look adorable and cute, but are far from it. Generally, they are very dangerous, and should not be approached.
But while nature hiking in Victoria, Australia, Melabois had the magically opportunity to snuggle a baby koala who climbed up her leg. It was an adorably painful experience that has gone viral now after being featured on Reddit.

October 22, 2012 - 11:15 amKoalas aren’t dangerous…where did you get that from? They sleep in trees about 20 hours a day, and eat leaves the rest of the time. Not much harm there. (Yes I’m Australian, koalas are everywhere and perfectly mild mannered.)

February 9, 2015 - 11:46 pmThey’re only dangerous when they try to climb your legs. At a zoo experience program I went to we had to avoid them while cleaning the enclosure. The chick’s lucky it didn’t slice her legs open. They have sharp claws.
