There are few things dreaded more than having one’s flight delayed. Of course, what is worse is being delayed on the tarmac for hours after leaving the comforts of the airport bar behind to board the plane.

Now your delayed, and unnecessarily uncomfortable. 

And that’s exactly what happened to musicians of the Philadelphia Orchestra while traveling from Beijing to Macao. After boarding their plane, the passengers discovered they would have to wait three long hours in the cramped fuselage before departing. 

To make lemonade out of lemons, and to entertain and calm the other travelers, the musicians of the Philadelphia Orchestra decided to provide a “pop up” performance.
