Yesterday, the Texas Senate nearly passed new legislation that would make getting an abortion in Texas much more difficult. Resolved to stop the passing of the bill by any means necessary, Senator Wendy Davis filibustered the process for over 10 hours.

But at the last moments before midnight, the Lieutenant Governor ruled her filibuster was in violation of rules, and attempted to pass the bill anyways. 

In the end, the bill did not pass, but the spectators’ reactions of disgust and dismay is still going viral today after being published by The Texas Tribune
