The 1950’s was a terribly serious time. The second World War had just ended, and just like that, America found itself in a deadly conflict in Korea. The Cold War between the USSR was quickly escalating. Fear of nuclear annihilation had become a real threat.
But there was a bright side to the 50’s as well. One of the most upbeat historical events was in 1955 when Disneyland first opened its doors. The new Disney History channel just published this vintage compilation of classic video footage from the first days of the world famous park that is taking viewers back to a simpler time.
