Canadian group Aero Velo has successfully completed the once impossible. Since Michelangelo, man has been trying to create a helicopter machine to fly like a bird.

We have since been to the Moon and back, but all of our flying machines have needed external forms of power, such as jet fuel.

Now history has been made after the crew successfully flew the first Human-Powered Helicopter in the air for just over a minute using just the energy of the ‘pilot’ pedaling on a retro-fitted bicycle frame.
