The dangers of texting and driving are often proclaimed in the media, but AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety has found that it might even be more serious than thought before. They found that distraction was a factor in nearly 60% moderate-to-severe teen crashes, “which is four times as many as official estimates based on police reports.”
